I searched high and low for reviews of this chair before ordering it (I did not purchase it on Amazon). All I could find were people saying it was more comfortable than Aeron and cheaper to boot, so I figured I'd take the plunge. Upon using it, there are some things I've discovered that were not quite what I expected. All the descriptions of the chair mention its "variable seat depth." I misunderstood this to be "adjustable seat depth." I was wrong. The seat depth varies because the back of the chair moves back and forth as your body moves, thereby causing the depth of the seat to expand and contract - but you cannot manually make the seat deeper. I find the seat to be on the shallow side, myself, and wish I could make it deeper. If I'm not reclining at all in the chair, I feel as though I'm sitting close to the edge. As for the recline, there as an optional recline stopper, but this only prevents the back from going back so far; you cannot set the back to stay reclined or stay upright (you can adjust the tension to keep it upright, but then for me the seat is too shallow). The seat height is adjustable but does not get very high; however, you can buy a higher version of the pneumatic height adjuster if you need it. If you get the adjustable arms, they move up and down fine, but their width has to be manually adjusted by unscrewing the arm rests and reattaching them on a wider or more narrow setting - there are 3 options. Therefore you cannot adjust the width on the fly the way you can the height. Lastly, I find that the back of the chair barely covers my shoulder blades (I am of pretty average height - 5' 10") and I have little to no upper back or neck support, making the chair uncomfortable over long periods. The seat fabric is also not as nice as I expected - it's not "huggy" the way the Aeron is, but it's not very tight either. The lower back support is nice, but I would not recommend or repurchase this chair on that alone. If you are considering this chair, I highly recommend visiting DWR, Room & Board, or another store that carries it and testing it out before you buy. It obviously has its fans, but it's a very unique sitting experience that I don't think is for everyone.
