(More customer reviews)Quality of the chair is great. Very sturdy and nice build quality for the price. The finish is also very nice, however, it is not the advertised color. I asked 6 different people in my office, we tried with the lights off, on, with incandescent vs. florescent. These chairs are black under normal home or office lighting conditions, not warm brown. It looks like they put 10 coats of very very dark brown resulting in near black. Under the chair on the overspray where the paint is thin there is just the faintest hint of a brown color. Only after close inspection outside in bright direct sunlight with my black suit pant leg extended for comparison could I kind of see a brown color. At a distance under any light they look black, like nice chairs in a Chinese restaurant. Make sure these dark chairs will fit your décor before you order them.
