The wheels dig into the commercial grade fabric floor covering when movinig while seated, but glide when moving by hand; so far no marks are visible. They are comfortable and appear to be durable.You can buy less expensive task chairs, but if you need sturdy chairs that can be repeatedly used and easily moved, you may want to consider them.Prices at our time of purchase varied, so you may want to Amazon shop around for your vendor.The Amazon process was flawless and items arrived timely.
