(More customer reviews)A long crack developed in one arm in less than 1 year, with almost no direct sun exposure.The finish wore off in less than 6 months. The manufacturer states that such cracking is normal and that a product called "sun wax" could be applied to prevent it.One reason I bought this swing was because of the cumaru wood, which I expected to be more durable and maintenance free.I am also having difficulty with the swing stand (see review) and I am currently working with the distributor to resolve the problem.The principal distributor is Nags Head Hammocks (they seem to be Hatteras Hammocks as well) and the web page talks about 'total customer satisfaction' so we'll see.
