(More customer reviews)The shipment of these chairs arrived promptly.They were well packaged to prevent damage during shipment, as well.Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow.The shape and height of the chair backs make them very comfortable.The only thing that surprised me was the pattern on the seat cushions (small gold-ish yellow and white checks) which wasn't at all clear on any of the pictures on the website and not something I'd normally choose.They looked tan in the pictures.My initial thought was that the seats could be easily recovered with another fabric and a staple gun but as I've gotten used to them, they are actually very neutral and subtle and can blend well with most any decor.The "oak" colored wood blends well with the "real" oak table we use with them, so I have no problem with the fact that the wood, itself, is not oak.The wood is well finished and should hold up well to our rambunctious family.One feature that appealed to me is that these chairs are not overly large (wide), so you can get more of them around a table than you could if they were the size of many of the other chairs we considered.They are plenty wide and comfortable for the normal backside.
