(More customer reviews)I purchased this at the beginning of the summer for my sunny patio.It is the perfect solution (as opposed to attaching an awning to my house).Provides shade for a small bistro set and prevents sun from blinding us inside the house.We use the patio more than ever.Regular umbrellas do not shade a 6' sliding door as well.I have it in white, which shows dirt quickly.Am ordering a blue one which should not look as grimy.You do need the base for this umbrella.
