I ordered this item for my independent thinking (MY WAY!), gregarious (NO! NO! NO!) and free-spirited (Catch me! Chase me!) grandprincess. This rocker comforts and teaches a beginning and an end in a much better way than using a "naughty chair" for time-outs. It can also be used as a place for thinking and quieting and calming.We use it for reading (OOPS! Sorry Baby, Gwammy can't read "Goodnight Moon" for the 5th time-the timer went off!), slowing down for nap time (5 minutes of rocking, talking and a sip of water-timer says so), and just keeping everyone on schedule (...just give me a few minutes and we'll go outside).
