(More customer reviews)This chair is comfortable, but not $1000 comfortable. I find a $250 Herman Miller Ergon 3 chair to be just as good. The seating material is very hard, which tends to hurt my lower back and the back of my legs. The all-mesh design of the Aeron chair is much better, but in my opinion the Aeron chair does not look as nice, and requires all kinds of adjustments.
Futhermore, the chair is not very serviceable. I bought mine with adjustable arms, but later found I would rather have the chair without arms. The arms cannot be removed by the end user. You have to call Humanscale for them to do it, and even they don't seem to know how. It took a lot of phone calls to finally get an answer: it costs $45 and a technician has to come to your home to remove the arms.
Finally, customer service at Humanscale is very poor. After I finally found out how I can remove the arms, their service department twice canceled appointments to service my chair, with varying excuses, at the last minute. Both times this upset my schedule, since the appointments were in the middle of the day.
Overall I regret my purchase. For what I paid for this chair, I expected more, both in product and in service.
