Carolina Cottage Hudson Rocker Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Read the dimensions carefully. This is the second rocking chair that I have bought. The first one was more comfortable, but its seat was made up of springs, fastened with large staples. They started coming loose during the first two weeks. I'm 5'7 and weigh 170. Yes, I'm overweight. With this chair, I have about 3 1/2" of space left. The length of the seat supports me only about half way up my thighs. The seat cushion I placed on it hangs 2 1/2" inches over the front of the seat. My back is not shaped like the back of the chair, either. So I added a back cushion, which just makes my legs hang over even more. I found out today that unless I exert a lot of effort, the chair won't rock back. (I haven't been home in while.) What I'm saying is that manufacturers are doing a poor job of telling people what sizes their chairs will support. If you have short legs and a butt of no more than 36" and weigh no more than 150, then this might be your chair. It is beautiful, but impractical for most people.

Upholstered Oxford Club Rocker Review

(More customer reviews)What we did like....The fabric on this chair is nothing like the picture, it is far more beautiful with great texture. It also comes with the stationary legs for the chair if you want to change them at another time....nice thought!
What we didn't like...the back of the chair only came up to the bottom of my shoulder blades.I realize I am tall, but we were planning to use it in the nursery and figured that we would want to fall asleep in it occasionaly without our heads being able to bend all of the way backward due to lack of support. When the rocker arrived the box was torn and had a hole in it.There was a small scratch from the exposure to the "outside", but we were willing to get over it.What we weren't willing to get over was the damage done to the arm of the chair due to the back of the chair's placement for shipping. It was completely worn down and the padding permanently dented.
