After 4 emails, I have not gotten a single response from Boss regarding the rip. I have had to put duct tape over my brand new chair. Worst customer service possible. Look elsewhere.

(More customer reviews)I have a black LaFuma chair that is very similar to this one which is excellent as well.I wanted a white one but LaFuma didn't make that color.So I took the plunge and chanced this particular brand version.I found this one to be nearly identical with excellent comfort and quality.Actually the dimensions between the two are slightly different.I'm a large frame guy and I think the comfort of this one is a tad better than the LaFuma XL that I already have.However, the LaFuma seems a bit easier to open for some reason but this one is not hard at all. Either product is great but this happens to be a bit less expensive.It's a great buy.

(More customer reviews)We bought seven Powell Monster bedroom furniture items.It is a good sturdy product but the "some assembly required" has resulted in issues with five of the seven pieces we purchased.In the case of the chair, the screws don't actually attach to anything, something is clearly missing, a part like a screw insert for the bolts to screw into?They sent us a chair seat to replace the one that was not finished.The underbed storage was out of square by a half inch, the screws on the handles of the desk and rolling storage are cheap and over-tightened, one screw broke, and two had to be drilled out.The rolling bench has a drawer that is "stuck" and none of the wheel plates aligned with all four bolt holes.It's a shame that such a nice product has such basic issues.

Big Man's Chair by Boss Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a big guy - 6'3", 240lbs, built like a linebacker... and since I'm a web producer, I spend a large part of my day sitting at a computer. In my experience, almost every office chair I've ever owned has been both horrendously uncomfortable and unbelievably fragile... that is, until I stumbled on the Boss Big Man's Chair.

I found this chair sitting out at a local Fry's store a couple years ago (unfortunately, they don't seem to carry this chair any more), and thought it looked sturdy... so I gave it a go. Not only is the chair built like a tank (heavy-duty reinforced metal frame, heavy suede leather material), it's one of the most comfortable office chairs I've ever sat in. It also uses an extremely strong tension-based latch system for locking the chair into a reclined position at whatever angle is most comfortable for YOU (as opposed to the flimsy little bar that other chairs use to lock into a single, predetermined reclining position). The backrest is likewise very sturdy and (as the picture shows) offers very good lumbar support (bonus for those with bad backs). It's also very wide, too wide for my tastes, personally, but I can see that as an added bonus for some fellas.

Considering the number of flimsy, uncomfortable chairs from Costco and Office Max that I've broken over the years, this chair has not only saved my butt (and back), but it's saved me money. If you're a big guy in search of a good, reliable, comfortable office chair - you just can't go wrong with this one. It will be the last office chair you'll ever have to buy.

No complaints here, this product is well made. Customer service was truly helpful. I called while assembling and they walked me through getting the arms on. When I'm ready to expand my workspace, I'll definitely be getting another.

I'm thankful these reproductions exist and that I get to explore and play with the modern aesthetic without paying over 1K for a single branded original.
