(More customer reviews)Like another reviewer, I had been comparing similar sets from Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware, but didn't want to spend that much on an outdoor set living in upstate New York. This Falkner set offered a similar design and a MUCH cheaper price, so I decided to order this set with six arm chairs. While the table is great (study, solid, easy to assemble) the craftsmanship on the chairs leaves something to be desired. The aluminum on the backs of the chairs is not very straight and the welding job is horrible. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I might be fussier than most. I didn't expect them to be great, but I did expect them to be slightly better than they are. My husband actually likes the look, calling it "handmade". They are otherwise comfortable until you lean back, but I think adding a back cushion or pillow will solve that problem. Despite the shotty weld job, overall, they are probably a good buy for the money and the style is fantastic. However, you may be better off waiting for end of season sales on higher end furniture.

Strathwood Falkner Dining Arm Chairs, Set of 2Product Description: Durable yet surprisingly lightweight, this pair of cast aluminum arm chairs coordinates with the Strathwood Falkner outdoor furniture collection to provide a stylish, comfortable dining atmosphere. Ideal for use in outdoor furniture, cast aluminum is heavier and sturdier than standard aluminum but much lighter than cast iron. It's also quite resistant to chipping, fading, and rusting. It's constructed of wide, thin strips of black, powder-coated aluminum. The chair is marked by an open crisscross design on the back, and it features a slatted aluminum seat. The arms slope down and are highlighted by an artfully curled end. It measures 22.8 by 24.8 by 36 inches, with a 17-inch-high seat back, and weighs 17.6 pounds. Each chair has a weight capacity of 250 pounds. No assembly is required.
The set comes with comfortably filled seat cushions, which are secured to the chairs via fabric ties. They feature a durable, heavy polyester canvas cover in a natural tone, and they offer a zippered closure that enables you to remove the polyurethane fill. Cushions measure 20.5 by 21.5 by 2.5 inches.
Cushion Care and Cleaning: Gently brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabric and wipe up any spills as soon as they occur. Gently spot clean only with mild soap and cool water using a sponge or soft brush, then air dry cushions in a sunny location. Bring cushions indoors during inclement weather and store in a dry place when not in use.
Please note that upholstered items purchased on different occasions over time may have a slight variation in hue. There is the potential for variation in the hue of any fabric, depending upon the light source in which it is viewed. For outdoor fabrics, sunlight is the source textile manufacturers use to verify hue accuracy. In addition, a slight variation in hue is normally expected between rolls of like fabric, since no two can be produced to come out exactly the same.
Strathwood furniture has quality, ease of use, and casual elegance at its core. Each piece is rigorously tested for durability, and assembly instructions have been standardized for simplicity from start to finish. Strathwood furniture is sleekly designed, handsomely finished, and built to last. This classic style and reliable craftsmanship will weather ever-changing trends and regular use for years to come.
